BANE OF EXISTENCE Part Ways With Singer

April 24, 2005

Massachusetts-based death metallers BANE OF EXISTENCE have parted ways with vocalist Doug Rinaldi. Doug "has stepped down as their vocalist due to personal and health-related issues," the band write in a press release." It's been an entertaining five years for him with the band and he can't wait to hear/see them in their next incarnation. The split was completely amicable and his reasons were instantly understood and respected."

BANE OF EXISTENCE's June 3 show at O'Brien's in Allston will be Rinaldi's last appearance with the band. However, he will continue to work on the band's web site, and will help them in the future with whatever he can.

In other news, BANE OF EXISTENCE have also parted ways with second guitarist Greg Armstrong, who left the group "to concentrate on his studies," according to the press release. "All the best luck to him with that as he remains a close friend to the band," the band write.

BANE OF EXISTENCE's full-length debut, "Humanity's Splintered Salvation", was recorded in 2002 at Ultrasound Productions in Hanson, MA.

Doug's remaining shows with BANE OF EXISTENCE:

Apr. 29 - DeeDees Lounge – Quincy, MA
May 14 - DeeDees Lounge – Quincy, MA
May 24 - The Hall – Providence, RI
Jun. 03 - O'Briens Pub – Allston, MA
